Rationale: when Elfangor mashed up human DNA to make his human morph he had absolutely no reason whatsoever to acquire only white humans because he’s a goddamn alien
IDK I quite like the headcanon that the only white animorph turned into a bird in the very first book and just stayed like that for the rest of the series.
