In other news, when I went to see my father the other day we had a long talk, part of which degenerated into him ranting about 'the Jews'. I sort of sat there with my mouth open because this is something I expect from Mengele and co and my usual answer (beating their heads against the wall until they shut up was not really applicable in that case. My father then quickly added 'Not that I'm anti-semitic' and I just burst out laughing 'No, you just making sweeping generalisations, Not anti-semitic at all'.

Same with my mom and her "Black people all dance so well!" and "Those gays have so much more fashion sense than straight men!" while still insisting she isn't bigoted, because she only says positive things. -- Which are still stupid fucking generalisations nonetheless! It's not as bad as the jewish-conspiracy-runs-everything bullshit, but it makes me angry anyway.

And of course all trans women are enormously tall and have a protuberant Adam's apple and huge hands and feet (I'm 5'6" have no visible Adam's apple and have tiny hands and feet- go figure) :o/
