This was just as brilliant as all the other chapters.

Erik's reaction to the missiles - his order to Charles - somehow surprised me as much as it impressed me. You've re-written the Beach scene for the better, and I love how you wrote his rise to figurehead of the group. "Let him draw their fire." It was so perfectly handled.

And your Charles. Oh. Wow. Your Charles.

Absolutely cannot wait for the next/last(?) chapter. Excellent work!
