Writer's Block

Skull Bearer: *prepares writing materials; orginal books, fountain pen, notebooks and little Lord Soth bookmark* Muses, I summon you!

Muses: *conspicuous silence*

Skull Bearer: ...I summon you!

Muses: *deafening silence*

Skull Bearer: Are you deaf? I SUMMON YOU!

Muses: We're not deaf, we're on strike, there's a difference.

Skull Bearer: But... I need to write. I need inspiration guys!

Muses: You should have thought of that before you read the Turner Diaries.

Skull Bearer: *headdesk* I had to bag the Politically Correct muses didn't I? Look, you helped me write some very horrible stuff for Past Tense, and now you're bailing on me because I read something nasty?

Muses: Nasty doesn't begin to cover it.

Skull Bearer: The quote on the front of my Ivory and Ebony notebook reads 'The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes but in having new eyes- Proust.' After writing all that Holocaust stuff, I wanted to see what the people who thought it up might have been thinking.

Muses: Well, you might think to requisition new muses before you read filth like that. We're still clearing up the mess and the whole x-men cast have been refusing to talk to us ever since.

Skull Bearer: *sigh*

So yes, this is more or less what I've been arguing with myself about (between bouts of kicking myself for ever reading that book in the first place). Hopefully I might be able to convince the muses to work on a plan for Alvorecer (DoSD)

*And for the record, I a) don't agree with anything in the Turner Diaries, b) think the author could have spent his time more productively wearing a straitjacket, and c) didn't pay for the book anyway.*
