Even though I'm an American and I should be offened, I actually must agree with you. My first reaction to the disaster was "Yeah, right."
No one is hosting day long services for the people who are dead and dieing in the Middle East. We don't see Israel holding prayer vigils and reading the names of all the civilians who have died in suicide bombings there.
I think America's problem is that we have grown too complacent. The shock of 9/11 woke us up from a long nap, but now we've gone to far and overcompenated for the one terror attack on our country. We should have stayed in Afganistan hunting Bin Ladin, not gone running all over the Middle East.
