Fitness program on TV

Is a bit alienating. Goes on and on about how 'we all find exercising hard', and how the gym is his own personal nightmare.

Umm, I really, really don't? The gym is fun, all those awesome machines! It's like a games arcade only actually worth the money!

Helps that the thing really making me go to the gym is my audiobook project. I really want to find out what happens next to the Black Company.

That said, gyms do alienate an awful lot of people, particularly women (myself included).

It's not so much the gym itself as the people in it.

Maybe becuase I got to a small local one? I've thankfully never experienced this problem.

Could be. We're in a barracks town which means the local ones tend to be full of hunky squaddies- I've nothing against hunky squaddies you understand, but all those mega fit bodies leave one feeling utterly inadequate. :o/

I'll just have to stick to hillwalking! :o)
