Horrible Venom comics prediction that makes my blood run cold:
Eddie and the symbiote will become like Rex and the Tyrannosaurus symbiote, where they’re just one person with no distinct separate personalities.
Crates seems to hate the dichotomy of the two characters and he’s created the concept of a symbiote that more or less becomes the host. He’s created an Eddie and a symbiote that are both so despicable as people and especially to each other that there’s no feasible way to bring their relationship to a healthy place anymore or even any place where they could be in each other’s presence, yet I don’t think he wants to get rid of the character of Venom completely. I fear he’s going to just fuse them into one person, making it impossible for there to be any relationship between them, romantic or otherwise.
See, I wouldn’t actually mind this, because the more extreme and stupid the changes become, the more fans Cates loses and the more likely the next writer is to go ‘Okay, so meanwhile, on an island in the Pacific after a marathon sex session, Eddie and the symbiote continue to have a lovely holiday.’
