Trying a magic system which runs on a ley-line basis, with wizards as living dowsing rods. It's wierd, but I'm starting to like it.

Speaking as a Magus with an uncanny dowsing ability, I don't think it's weird at all.

My pinkies tingle when I cross major Lines.
