Huh, so that's what it feels like

So I'm applying for a job, and there's the compulsary PC but where you put down your ethnicity and gender, and now there's a bit on sexual orientation, and they list: Gay male, gay female, bisexual and hetrosexual.

Sooo, I don't exist, is that it?

I mean, at least they should allow you to opt out.

I think I'll just leave that bit blank. Their fault if they can't fit everyone in.

The bit on ethnicity bugs me- they always assume that if you're white, you can't possibly have a complex ethnicity. I do!

From my point of view, they don't include trans due to the legal privacy issues involved and there's a doubt as to whether thay should actually be asking about sexual orientation and sexuality anyway- for a lot of folks, the answer would be none of your damn business!

Ugh man, I have never been asked about my sexual orientation for a job before. Even I could tick one of those boxes, I don't think I would.

Surprised there isn't a 'prefer not to say' option. I thought that PC bit wasn't meant to be compulsory.
