*sigh*

There was a post on Salon about how the Norwegian bomb attacks are beign reported while other such attacks in other, less white parts of the world go unreported, and on military actions Norway may have undertaken which could have provoked this attack.

It's a fair point.

But seriously, couldn't you have waited a few fucking days before writing something so insensitive? People died today and we're still counting the wounded. Is it too much to ask for a day or two's respite? It come across as pretty nasty bastardry to point out this sort of stuff less that 24 hours after it happened.

Where I find a problem with poltical correctness is when it springs up in inappropriate circumstances, like this. As you say, the point is very valid indeed, but at the very least they could wait until the initial pain and shock of the event has passed before making it. Making the point right away only creates further pain, and it doesn't further the cause.
