1. Comment to this post with the name of a character that I have written in fic. Or geeked out about.
2. I will comment telling you the following:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.

*grins*...as ever the first comment on one of these is...

Raistlin

^_^

This is my I&E version of Raistlin.
a- He is way cool, and incredibly slashable. And really sexy.
b- Intelligence, and the willingness to use it.
c- Being antisocial, even to people he cares about.
d- Raislin pretty much writes himself.
e- Enigma, definitly.
f- *snigger*

Dalamar. Can't have one without the other.

True.

a- He is probably the best truely 'Dark' character I have ever seen (I don't really count Raistlin, he straddles the fence).
b- Loyalty, when you have his respect, you can trust him with your life.
c- Ruthlessness, if you don't have his respect, you are a waste of space and thus expendable.
d- Very easily, I find it easy to get into the mind of someone that stubborn.
e- Raistlin's Daughter, although I quite like the last few chapters of Alvorecer for that too.
f- Do I need to answer that?

This is my version of Magneto (who, incidentally, prefers to be called Erik)
a- He is very, very cool, has probably the best mutant powers ever, and I have a thing with bad guys with good intentions.
b- Sheer bloody-minded stubborness, as Charles puts it, even death seems to give up where he's concerned.
c- Cold-blooded. If youare his enemy (which can be quite easy) had /can/ and /will/ kill you.
d- Past Tense part two, chapter one.
f- I'm still working on the next part of Past Tense actually.

If I may ask more, too (*puppy eyes*): Daenerys Targaryen (damn, she'd have fun at the passport office with the spelling of that one *g*) and/or (if you have time to spare) Asha Greyjoy. (Actually, now that I write them both in one sentence, I wonder if there'll ever be a meeting between them in canon.) Who besides that were your ASoIaF favourites again?

[identity profile] skull-bearer.livejournal.com 2007-06-11 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I like Bran and Arya too, although I'm not an Asha person so much, she's great, but I don't think I'll be doing the meme for her.

Daenerys Targaryen

a- I liked that she was in such a horrible situation, but made the best of it and made a life for herself. I love characters like that *cough*Dalamar*cough*
b- Her dragons! *drools*
c- Her naivity, but as soon as Tyrion gets there I'm sure that'll pass *so much squee*
d- Never tried.
e- The part where she buys/frees the slave warriors, that was just... perfect. I would suspend my hetrosexuality for her there.
f- No idea, maybe.

[identity profile] shadowvalkyrie.livejournal.com 2007-06-12 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
...as soon as Tyrion gets there...
Is it already a fixed fact that they'll meet? *is squeeful, too*

I would suspend my hetrosexuality for her there
No need to ask her, is there? ";-P She seems pretty straight to me, despite that whole thing with her chamber maid, which I guess can be dismissed as "stress relief", anyway. (Which is kind of depressing, but fits the general fact that nobody ever has good sex in the entire series.)

There was a great spoiler chapter on GRRM's website which was a Tyrion chapter where he goes across the sea, and it's blindingly obvious where it's going. Tyrion's dream of riding a dragon will come true!

Awww... *squee*!
