A bit of Ice and Fire

One of my friends who hasn't read GRRM's series recently watched the HBO adaptation and wrote up an... interesting transcript of the first ep. He kindly allowed me to share it after I fell off the chair laughing.

30 days of fanfiction 3/30

3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?

Harry Potter: Can I say Voldemort twice? :) He's so much fun (at least until book 6 and JKR leeched every ounce of enjoyment out of the character. Being born evil does not an interesting villain make), and even now I still like toying around with him, if only from a deconstructionist angle. I suppose if I had to pick another character it might just be Harry Potter himself. The bastard's so characterless that you can write him as anything. Fun for fanfic, shit for actual books.

Elric: Elric and Stormbringer :) Elic's a sweetheart and Stormbringer's the most evil character ever, beating even Fistandantilus.

Warhammer: I really, really don't want to get into this. I still like Malekith though.

Dragonlance: Hmm, Dalamer, of course, but while I love Raistlin I get such a kick from writing Fistandantilus that it's a pretty close call there.

House: Barely really wrote in it, House and Wilson, I guess.

X-Men: Hmm, I'll have to say Erik and Charles, but I'm having a lot of fun with Erik's family in Diaspora so they get an honourable mention too.
