Guys… I know we’re all decent writers here, but you need to remember something important.
Fanfiction writers > Comics book writers.
We actually give a fuck about canon, we listen to what creators say and try and fit our stories around that. We try and keep close to the established world.
Comics writers, on the other hand-
I’ve seen people freaking the fuck out about ‘how are they going to come back from this’?
By ignoring it.
If the next writer doesn’t like Cates’ run, and wants to go in a more Costa direction, they will. Fuck, even killing these characters doesn’t work, although it can be a delay.
This is comics, where people can come back from the dead, be mind controlled or impersonated by robots, aliens or, on occasion, babies. This is where white people can randomly turn into Samuel L Jackson for no apparent reason.
Guys. It’s cool. Cates hasn’t done anything that can’t be ignored in issue one of the next Venom run.
