While it could work, please name me one character who has DID who isn’t a villain. There aren’t many. Until we get more protagonists with DID even a well written villain is still contributing to a negative stereotype.

Only in May thank fuck because I hate this fic so much right now. I’m going to need a sabbatical from symbrock so I can love it again.

I would love to! But the mods are very strict about no details until the stories have been claimed. Let’s just say the plot will look very familiar to those of us who grew up in the Harry Potter fandom ;)

Yes! But please attribute them and add a link to my fic. Also, please mail me when it’s done because I’d love to read it.

1. Favorite place to write. On my beanbag opposite my computer. I write on my laptop while I have something easy to watch in the background.

3. Least favorite part of writing. Getting started. Once I have an ‘in’ the story’s fine, but getting in is the hard part.

5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most. One book. The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I gave it to the head of my Creative Writing course saying ‘this book makes you write better after you read it!’ the next year it was part of the course material. What a book.

7. Favorite author. Cormac McCarthy. Terry Pratchett, Roald Dahl, Dianne Wynn Jones, JK Rowling, Nick Harkaway (dear gods that man makes me laugh).

9. Least favorite trope to write. Het. Slow burn. Will-they-won’t-they. I think my characters gay and in a relationship asap. I think Anteverse Refugee is the only pairing series I wrote where they didn’t hook up by the end of part 1.

25. Linear or non-linear, and why? Linear. I sometimes go back and do a prelude to a fic, but usually fics come out in the order in which the events happen.

30. Favorite line you’ve ever written.  I have no idea. There are so many. I do reread a lot of my fics to enjoy the bits I got really really right. I could give you my favourite line per fic, or maybe per chapter.

44. Best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten. The massive essay Greenedera sent me over Ivory, Blood and Ebony. Blame her for getting my writing that fic again, that and the person who sent me the link to the DL discord :p

50. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had. A weird ass Harry Potter fic based on the dream I had in which Voldemort fought a blue goblin. I wrote it, posted it for a while on ff.nt, and eventually took it down since it made no sense at all.

C: What character do you identify with most? Depends on the fandom. Raistlin in Dragonblance, Tony Stark in the MCU, and Newton in Pacific Rim. Probably Newton the most overall.

L: What’s the weirdest AU you’ve ever come up with? Given the sheer variety of AUs I’ve written for Pacific Rim, it would have to be one of them. It’s hard to just pick one so I’ll give shouts outs to my Cruella AU, teh Atlantic Rim AU, and anything I wrote where everyone is small furry animals.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)? A hard split between absolute fluff where everything is good and nothing hurts, and utter pitch-dark despair where the main characters usually end up committing suicide. I have a weakness for Romeo-Juliette endings.

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?) Big time gardener here, although I’m getting better and sorting out my plots.

I finally saw Shape of Water so I can answer it- they have a lot of things in common, bioluminescence and retractable cocks among them, but the Shape of Water creature is a lot more human, while infiltrators are more feline in shape, and Infiltrators can’t heal like that.

Also, Stickland would have been just so much chopped liver by act one. Do not fuck with creatures that can kick through concrete and bite through steel. Hermann would have tried to stay calm, but one shot of the cattle prod and That Creature would have taken over and there’d be blood everywhere.

Yes, I am, Nuitari help me. I’m over 50,000 words in and just starting Test of the Twins. So far Raistlin has been fighting tooth and nail not to go into the portal. Caramon is deluded and maybe more evil than expected, Crysania is operating in her own little world and Tasslehoff is staring in horror as these three people he likes are becoming more and more horrible to each other. Also the gods are dicks and Dalamar is the lone sane person in this story and if that’s not depressing, I don’t know what is.

Not far now, at least. There will be hugs and happy endings. Eventually.

I think in SLR Steve has the time to figure these things out. With Rhodey in charge he’s not nearly under so much pressure and can actually take time to consider things and deal with the world around him. Canon Steve always seems like he’s desperately making things up as he goes along and is terrified that if he shows any doubt at all, his world will fall apart.

(needless to say, Civil War in SLR is going to be VERY different)

As for what Steve would have said- it depends if the staff makes out say the worst thing you think about that person, or the worst thing you could say to that person.

If the former than probably nothing too bad- probably a lot milder that what he said in canon, since Steve actually likes Tony at that point in Avengers. Most likely about Tony being loud and brash and superficial and mostly showing off Steve’s own insecurities about the future.

Either way, nothing Tony would take too personally or hold against Steve. He’d have probably said way worse (remember, Howard held Steve up as a perfect human being, Tony had certain assumptions about the sort of person Howard Stark would consider perfect).

If it’s the latter- oooh boy.

And you thought Civil War was bad.

If the staff can read people’s minds enough to know what would set them off- Steve would probably have made some veiled reference that he wouldn’t really have understood about Tony deserving what happened in ‘91, and Howard being right about him.

And then Tony would have gone off like a hand grenade.
