I’ve always wondered this. Why is Chamberlian the only skeksis that has an unusual speech pattern? He doesn’t talk much, but when he does it kind of borders on broken English. I wonder why.
Well, the film was originally shot with the Skeksis speaking their original language, but that didn’t play with with audiences so they had to quickly teach them English so they could re-shoot their scenes.
I bet you couldn’t speak very good English if you had to suddenly learn it in a few days, some people are just not that good with languages.
