4700 words. A new chapter of Torqueo and my satirical story for Uni. I was halfway through writing it before I started wondering why I was writing the Wannsee Conference with different people. As it was meant to be a satire I ran with it and I'm fairly happy with the result. The main character, Kerr Mendas, is the first original character I actually like. I'll probably need to redraft but so far I quite like. Not sure how much of a 'satire' it is. There is the whole Wannsee Conference thing, but I pretty much shot myself in the foot when I gave them a good reason for planning genocide. Then there's the fact that none of them ever say what they're doing out loud, for Kerr because he loves scientific language and won't use a short word when a long one would work. Everyone else because they're mortified at what they have to do. And then there's the whole overpopulation aspects, but other than as a reason for mass murder it really doesn't work, I didn't really have the space to explore alternatives very well, damn 2,000 word limit. I could get a good story out fo this and I might actually write it. I really like Kerr.
Fuck it, I'm going with the Nazis. At least there I know what I'm laughing at.

As for Torqueo, I'm pretty happy with it. It flowed very well and I hope it works as well. I've sent it off to be betaed. Honestly, it's a relief to be finally getting into it, for the simple reason that now I can work on getting them out of this mess. Each word I write is a word closer to reunion and hot sex -fuck it- and hot sex, I know why you read it.
