There was a fairly interesting program about the history of pornography today, it was okay, and did a good covering of the sexual pamphlets of the French Revolution, but it was a bit too preachy for my liking. No covering of anything other than hetrosexual sex, with only the barest mention of anything else and no covering of yaoi whatsoever.

The thing that pissed me off the most was their covering of the Marquis de Sade. They made him sound so evil! Hey if the guy wanted to write about how he wanted to be whipped and shagged then that's his choice. Plus, I don't think they read much of his works. I couldn't relate what they described with what I've read. I've read 'Retaliation' and some of 'Philosophy in the bedroom'.

'Retaliation' was just hilarious. It was about this alduterous husband who is cheating on his wife with a nun. When the wife finds out about their affair the husband tells her that he is simply communing with God through the body of one of His chosen, not a sin, but a way to open the gates of heaven.
The wife is not in the least bit pacified, and decides to sleep with the local priest (who is a bit... free with his affections himself) when the husband finds them in the act, he is furious, but the wife simply tells him that, like him, she is communing with her God, and if anyone is opening the gates of heaven to her, it is the priest "For I have never seen such an enormous key."

Hah!

My brother can be a pain in the neck sometimes, but then again he can really come up trumps, like the time he walked me home after I discovered the delights of absinth.

I've been (desperately) trying to get Season 2 of Lost, but everything I have tried has been thwarted by the combined evils of Windows Media Player and Kazaa. I tried to download them but it wouldn't play, seeing as I spent a whole day doing this, I was mightily pissed off (hence my previous note). Mercifully my brother came to the rescue and poinjted me in the direction of a player that not only played the downloads, but also the CD I bought on e-bay, thus saving my dubious sanity from further damage.

Anyway, the last episodes of Season one is showing soon and I need to get a takeaway.
