... at 1am. Hey, don't looking for reason in the actions of a chronic insomniac
Found a story I'd written aged... *mental mathematics* about eight. It's called 'The Final Defeat of St George', and it's funny to read something written at a time when I wasn't completely disillusioned with religion. Wasn't nice to St George though, he lost the fight and ran off with his pants on fire.
Here's a poem I wrote on the same subject when I was more than a little jaded, if somewhat more skilled.

Writing and weirding
Jul. 18th, 2006 12:54 pmWhy does it take massive-sleep deprivation to finally wake my muses? For that matter, why do I always write when it's hot enough to fry eggs on the pavement? (if you can't now, you will tomorrow- 35 degrees C they predict)
Oh yes, and get this, a few weeks back I buy a bit of red tiger's eye, because it's beautiful and is said to help creativity and I'm gullible like that. The next day, the stone is gone. A few days later, I buy another bit, that too vanishes.
And now, when I'm halfway through Nocturnate chapter 10 and literally dropping with exhaustion, it turns up.
Right, enough ranting, on with the fic. More smut, I'm afraid.
