Feet. Pain. Hurt.
Sep. 16th, 2006 09:25 pmYes, I know this is getting repetitive, but I can't seem to learn that Doc Martins are painful to go walking for miles in if you haven't worn them for six months. I might have done permanent damage to the tendom in my heel- I was limping quite badly by the end.
Yet I spent pretty much the whole day walking. I started off at Staples Corner, where my Dad live, and walked down to Brent Cross, then up towards Hampstead. That's roughly a mile, all told. I then caught a bus to Hampstead Heath (a very nice park in London), and walked all the way to Parliment hill (the highest hill in the park), that's about two miles. I sat down there and read for a while, despite being dive-bombed by bugs and kites. A few hours later I got up, and decided to go for a walk.
Four hours later, I had succeeded in limping home. I'd walked all over the park, then wandered into the grounds of a stately home and had a look around, then I went to two of the satellite parks around Hampstead Heath, and had a bite to eat there (my first food all day), finally, I walked home.
You know, I could just jump out of that window and save myself the more painful fate of walking myself to death, but I think you people might complain.
