Eleven things I'd tell a sixteen year old me

1- Kuthgar is nothing more than a collection of repressed emotions you don't want to acknowledge. She is not real, and having her in your head is just a pain. Take back what's yours and throw her away, the sooner the better.

2- People are a lot more interesting than you imagine. Talk to them, if you're overwhelmingly friendly they won't be able to be nasty.

3- You are never going to lose your imagination, stop worrying. You can't lose gifts unless you stop using them.

4- Admit it. You like fanfiction. You will write fanfiction. You will read slash. You will write slash. And you will be good at it. If you admit this to yourself you'll be much happier.

5- You have started writing. God job. Don't let anyone talk you out of doing Creative Writing, I know you will anyway but do try not to. It'll save time and money.

6- You will not like sex any more at 21 than you do at 16.

7- This does not mean you're a lesbian, despite this, Pamela is pretty and you will still think of her sometimes.

8- You will discover your novel is a piece of shit, but don't be discouraged, you will learn a lot of lessons while writing it.

9- Stop being so into Harry Potter, you're going to regret it.

10- Goth clothes may look cool, but not on you. Also, do NOT dye your hair, even to surprise Dad. You will surprise him, but not in a good way.

11- You are cool. Don't let anyone talk you out of it or try to look 'cool'. You are eccentric enough for people to be interested, funny enough to make people laugh, and laid back enough to be fun. You migth be slightly slow in social situations, but people will ignore that if you're funny enough and willing to laugh at yourself.
