Age of TEH PRETTY!

Age of Apocalypse is an x-men spin off which I follow for the sole reason of seeing Erik with long hair. Seriously, I am so take by teh PRETTY that I still haven't the foggiest what's going on, and I've read 3/4 of what's been published. As far as I can tell Apocalypse (yes, that guy) is an evil mutant who's taken over half the world and killing people by the truckload. (why? Who knows? Who cares?) Erik gets to be the good guy (and have long hair! In a really sexy style! And an even cooler helmet than usual!) although Charles is apparently dead :( and hasn't been resurrected yet :(( 
I have no idea what the plot is, since AoA seems to deal with at least six and a half times the usual amount of Marvel crack (these being the same people who are retconning half of Spiderman's history) of which space travel, time trvel and dimension hopping is the norm, plus it includes flashbacks, so there's no way of knowing if the character is just remembering or has actually gone back in time.

Erik, unfortunately doesn't get the centre stage almost enough (psst, Wolverine? Piss off, leave it to the pretty professionals you psychopathic runt, or at lease people with better hair- although Charles can beat you on that front), and angsts a lot (very prettily). He also is paired with Rogue (sorry sionnain but WTF?? Still pretty though) and gets tortured by Apocalypse (CANON BITCHES! *insane laughter*) and yes, Erik is as pretty getting the shit beaten out of him as he is walking, talking, sitting still and kicking arse. Obsessed? Moi?

Ah, the perils of being in love with a fictional (and in my head gay) character. Hits you in the wallet, it does.
