Elric

Last night I dreamt of Elric of Melnibone. Not the one in the books, the one in my head, who's had god-help-him the better part of seven years of peace, quiet and the kind of therapy available in my head. He's fairly peaceful, fairly quiet, hates attention, and serves as my avatar when I want to explore new worlds. And last night some tit made him duel her with Stormbringer. He hasn't seen that sword since he moved in with me and is under no illusions about it. He only had to fight with the bloody thing because she had Mournblade, and even so after the first time That Sword tried to feel him strength (it felt majorly creepy) he threw it away, dived at the woman headlong, knocked her flying, and finished the fight with his fists (when you have earth elementals feeding you strength it's not so bad).

Anyway, he's very near the surface and feeling gloomy because although he sealed the swords away again he just hates them so much. I'm feeling pretty bad for him because unlike about 90% of my characters he's actually nice and we get on very well (mostly because after I picked him up after where Moorcock had left him there wasn't anything I could do to make the situation worse. It's like Erik in Past Tense). So he's being quiet and I thought I'd make him feel better about talking about him here. *pets*
