Year in review, jakked from [livejournal.com profile] fjm :

Last year's goals:
Finish AIoM - okay, I meant to have it done by the end of the Uni year, but as that didn't happen my next fall back was to have it done this year. Which I did. Just.
Finish Uni with a good enough grade for Royal Holloway - still miffed I was only a mark off a first, and did worse than some gits who'd been messing around all year, but maybe that was because I was focused on actually writing a book than, y'know, just pretending to write one. It was still a success though.
Get into Royal Holloway - Apparently according to a friend it is know among the London Uni's as Royal Holiday. Which marks this friend off the list of people to tell good news to. Am I wrong in thinking that when someone is celebrating having done something they really want they don't want someone knocking it stright off the bat? Grief.
Train for the Marathon - Still sort of doing that, but I don't think I'll be running it for a good few years.

Other Achievements

Went a year without Nanowrimo: Mostly because there wasn't enough AIoM left to write.
Got a few ideas for the next books: sci-fi and fantasy.
Did a bit of totally weird Mirek character development: Who knew playing Mass Effeect could be so productive?
Finally read Saul Freidlander's Nazi Germany and the Jews two part magum opus: thanks to my sony reader. Damn those books are long.
Started reading the Count of Monte Cristo in French: Damn you English translators for leaving out the drugs and lesbians!

Goals for 2011
Keep a booklist: I keep forgetting what I read this year. The top read was probably Master and Margurita and nothign can top that, but I should take notes.
Go through at least some fo the reading list David Stone gave me: actually finishing it would be impossible as many of the texts are in german and I'm fairly sure he didn't mean for me to read the lot. There's like 12 pages of around 20 books each.
Continue with German: Been letting it slip shamefully over Christmas.
Funds willing, backpack again: A death camp refresher course before RH :-D

See you in 2011 dudes!
