I was the regular DM for a group, but for a change one of them decided they would run a one-shot. They did their best, but it was their first time and they weren’t very good at it. We let most of the garble slide except for one moment we never let him live down.
The party had just reached the Magical McGuffin we had to find for the plot, the DM had worked out everything we needed to know about it- significance, powers, etc- except what it was meant to look like.
Us: “So what is it?”
DM: *sweating bullets* It’s a… perfectly… round… cube.
Us: *die laughing*
After that, the ‘perfectly round cube’ became a staple in our games.
That one was me.
