Don't give up! Most writers (probably all of us) get the occasional feeling that our story is crap, that we're never going to get anywhere with this, that we're stuck and never going to get unstuck. The important thing to do is chloroform those thoughts and keep on going. As Commander Vimes might say, they are not in possession of all the facts.
Besides, one of the key aspects of NaNo is that it's not supposed to be good, it's not supposed to make sense, it's not supposed to be neat and precise. If there's a story here that's worth pursuing further, well, that's what rewrites are for. Getting it right can wait till later.
