Heh, the first time I read the chapter, my thoughts were: You teaser! You continue showing us the carrot to follow the mages through the ruins only to end slipping "inside the dark room." Bad Skull Bearer! I want to know what lies beyond those doors!
As for the interaction between Dalamar and Raistlin, you got the latter perfectly in character. Dalamar is fine too, first blind (or more like choosing to be blind) to his desire to protect Raistlin, then somewhat reluctantly acquiescent.
