And you should (maybe) take away the last chapter and put into 'Ice and Steel', so all the things to be filed under 'Arrival in Solace' are collected there, while only the actual journey happens in 'Enigma',
That is actually a brilliant idea, and it helps me with the main problem I had with Enigma, which was re-writing the Kitiara scene (which I hate). It's got a lot of potential I've skated over, btu it ended up being a bit too long and open ended. Putting it into Ice and Steel would work perfectly.
And yes, the 'Shalafi' scene was the first thing I scrapped. I also added a lot more dialogue and more showing rather than telling.
