since i guess today is planet of the symbiotes day, what always gets me is that the klyntar are “addicted to the strong emotions of their host creatures” and have somehow decided that the best way to get their fix is to force their hosts into life-threatening situations, which earns them nothing but a surge of adrenaline, and in the most exhausting, dangerous, wasteful way possible
so i just imagine the venom symbiote on earth, at this extravagant fucking buffet of everything from phenethylamine to dopamine to oxytocin, safe and cozy with sleeping eddie, and, in spirit, smoking a cigarette and looking up to the stars and going “those guys were dumbasses, actually”
