tbqh making movies about horrible people that aren’t documentaries is not something i really approve of

even if it tries really hard to put them in a negative light its still romanticized for the film if they’re the main star, and its casting a limelight on someone for their shitty deeds and makes it interesting or intense

idk it just doesn’t,,, seem cool to make a film about an irl serial killer who would probably revel in the stardom no less

#it might seem hypocritical for someone who loves horror and murder and terrible stuff in fiction but i promise i hate those things irl

Gurl no ur good there is a huge neon line between loving fictional killers that have cool aesthetics, and romanticizing sick monsters who murdered actual people in real life. The mentality that it’s just as bad or, reversing that, just as harmless is frankly a little fucked up.

It is treating a really uncomfortable line. I’d really rather watch a movie about the people who caught said serial killer.
