Symbiotes don’t really have a brain in the traditional sense, and rely heavily on a host for a sense of what is right and wrong, right?
So, it is not a stretch to say that they might also use a host’s mind for things like storing memories and sometimes, rarely- but sometimes, their feelings.
With that in mind, picture Venom, having been forcibly separated from Eddie for several weeks or months, trying so hard to hold on to their memories of him even as they are made to bond with new hosts. See them slowly forgetting all the things that made Eddie so special, laugher, love, tater tots… Until even his name fades away.
Then witness Eddie, finally finding him and bonding again, and Venom being overwhelmed with all the memories and feeling they find again, saved safely in Eddie’s brain…
