I used this in my Holocaust MA, although I called it the Mr Rosenbaum Rule. Basically about how a ‘normal’ German would vote for the nazi party and then go all surprised pikachu when Mr Rosenbaum-who-runs-the-fish-shop-down-the-road-and-helped-us-out-during-the-war (this was his offical name) was rounded up and ‘sent east’.
