I am drowning, drowning in assignments. Do this, do that, write the other. Creative writing is fine, it's fun, but Journalism... well, suffice it to say that I'm wondering if taking it was a good idea. I finished two of the assignments today and my friends and I agree that it is momumentally boring. At least Creative Writing appears to be more fun, a 1,500 word story and a 500 word commentary about how you wrote it, now the only question is whether I want to print out one of my old on and scrawl about it, fanfic is fair game, or write a new one. I think I'll end up writing something new, I would have liked to scribble about 'Raistlin's Daughter', but that's way too long.
Oh well, it's only in on Friday, and I type fast. I finished my 1,200 word assignment in less than an hour, although to be fair it was only 1,064 words. I just couldn't think of anything else to write, there's only so much waffle you can pack into a book review, especially if the book's about journalism. Still, I think I did a decent job. In tomorrow and no worries!
And I might get some time to work on 'Ivory and Ebony', which has been sadly neglected. I wrote some of chapter 12, but I need to go over it, it's a bit too bare-bones. I need to add some more angst.
Oh yes, and it's my birthday, see! I have so many assignments I forgot my own birthday! Twenty today, huzzah. No longer a teenager but now a tweener (no idea where the Tolkien refernce came from... BACK FOUL SPAWN OF THE PITS! I WILL NOT YIELD TO YOU!).
AFoCs rocks! And I got it signed by Mr George RR Martin himself! Squee! With my favourite quote too! 'Valar Morghulis', 'All men must die'.
Roll on 'Dance with Dragons'!
