I actually created a pasta and chicken salad that did not burst into flames, explode or kill anyone! It was actually very nice, and the chili was an unexpected success. I now have enough lovely salad to explode twenty people because I rather underestimated the amount of pasta needed.

In other news, I am very, very happy because Marvel is running a House of M starter, about how Magneto took over the world, simultaniously with a mini-series about his background. And they actually seem to have done their research this time. Admittedly Past Tense is going to be completely AU due to this, but what the hell, I already know from the front cover that either I totally called it on guessing Magneto was a Jew from Poland, or the artists have no idea what they're drawing. I hope I'm right and they did crack open a couple of history books, because having watched them bloodily evicerate the Holocaust in previous issues, I'm not packing much patience this time around.
To be honest, just as long as they don't go down the same road as the Movie-prequel comic. I wanted to wash myself after that. Making a ten year old death camp survivor look like a monster is low beyond low beyond low.

Yet... You don't know about the long-term effects. ":-p

Hopefully lots of people kicked their asses for that and they'll do better now.
