So can we talk about the absolutely stunning duplicity going on here?
…that’s cheating!
HOLY SHIT
That is some DELIBERATELY EVIL data representation. Where is the super villain that designed this fucking graph?
“Okay murders spiked by like well over 1000% but if we turn the graph THIS way, it’s like they went DOWN! HOORAYYYY!!!”
For anyone confused: the red represents the murder rate. Look at the numbers at the y axis. The graph is upside down because, normally, a graph starts at 0 and then goes up, but this one ends at 0.
As we put it in German: never trust statistics you haven’t manipulated yourself
this is fucking disgusting
I actually thought it was the right way around at first and thought it over for a while before thinking ‘aha! With the new law a lot of what would have been considered murders were justified by using ‘stand your ground’ laws, thus giving the illusion of gun murders going down but actually just reclassifying a lot of them as not murders!’
But no, they weren’t even that smart.

shout out to the amazing @eleonorpiteira who just conquered the heart of Guillermo del Toro so bad he made a portuguese speak spanish
bruh your art so good you just gave him an idea for a prequel
Guillermo del toro sharing his headcanon for his OWN MOVIE with us as if shyly asking permission
I just like that he made it very clear that right now they are very happy and together, no possibility of angst here!

You know what we need? A Symbrock pirate AU.
Imagine, if you will, washed up reporter Eddie Brock deciding to put out to sea so he can write a memoir about it, Two Years Before the Mast-style.
He ends up aboard the ship Vita, captained by the brilliant, popular privateer Carton Drake, and at first things aren’t too bad.
But Drake is a man on a mission.
He has heard of a Spanish galleon supposedly carrying the Elixir of Life, found at a the site of a meter strike in Florida. Drake wants that Elixir at any cost.
So, after a protracted and bloody battle, Drake finally manages to get a boarding party onto the galleon, one that includes Eddie. Fighting their way below deck, Eddie is the first member to push through the defenders, but in doing so he takes a sword thrust through his chest, and he is on the verge of death as he reaches the treasure. Desperately hoping the Elixir can save him, Eddie smashes open the small barrel he finds in the innermost hold, only for a black shape to spring out of the barrel and engulf him. As he blacks out, Eddie is sure it is Death coming for him…
At least until he wakes up in the Vita’s sickbay, hot and ungodly hungry, but incredibly alive…
I’m on board with all of this but the last sentence. No way Drake wouldn’t have thrown Eddie overboard thinking he’s dead (or just wanting to get rid of him after sneaking a peek at what Eddie’s been writing about him) and they wake up on a desert island…
