It's Draw Mohammed Day! *waves flag*
As far as I can see the entire point of today is to give Muslim fundies so many targets to aim at they'll give up and try being reasonable (ie, ignoring this whole silly mess) so that the next time some artist wants to draw the prophet they won't even bother.
There has been rather too many people drawing the prophet fucking pigs and such, so I thought I'd try my hand at drawing something no other religion (except scientology maybe) would find offensive.

He actually reminds me of a Hasidic Jewish worshipper :o) As you may know, they are heavily into song and dance as worship- many of the great klezmer musicians were/are Hasidic :o)

It annoys me that people feel the need to be all offensive; it undermines their own position rather than help it. Because if I were a muslima, the constant caricatures might make me think the fundies have a point, too.

On the other hand, I think of all the offensive pics I've seen of Jesus, and that christian reaction to them has been mostly to ignore the damn things, and my sympathy goes. Fundie muslims need to discover the IRL back button.
