You know how you ask people what music they like and they say 'Oh I like a bit of everything'?

Well, I'm thinking a better question would be 'what music do you like that other people don't?'

I mean, it's forever a mystery to me why people don't immediately recognise the inherent brilliant of AC/DC and Iron Maiden, but they don't for some reason. I think Bridge and Tunnel is one of the best bands ever, Twilight Opera is gorgeous, The Kovenant sheer brilliance, Devil Sold His Soul despair and desperation made music.

I have broad tastes, because I like Gerry Raffety, Led Zepplin, The Smiths, Nickleback (don't laugh, I know they're crap, but I still like them), Siouxsie and the Banshees and Seal. But the latter bunch have much wider appeal than the former.

So yeah, I I'll be asking that in the future, because I'll probably get better answers.

And for those who follow this journal for the Erik/Charles fic, the reason I don't have a playlist for the pairing is that they have one song and one song only, this one:

Tool and Perfect Circle are my Lovecraft bands ;) I listened to then when I was first reading the stories and they've reminded me of them every since. I love Pet.
