I'm currently unemployed, today, I was walking through my local area and saw a 'staff required' sign in the window of a kebab shop. I went in to ask about it, and was told 'We don't hire women'. I was stunned, tried to find out why, was rebuffed again, told them 'Glad to know you're rolling you your patties with your penis', and left. I came back later to get more info, and was ordered to get out of the store when I asked for the address. I told the same guy he was breaking the law by refusing to hire women, he told me he got a lot of Islamic customers, and didn't want to offend them by hiring women. I then demanded to speak to the manager. He told me he was the manager.

Who do I go to in order to report these people? Would suing them be an option?

Suing them would probably work, but cost money and bucketloads of time.
I'm not sure how it is in Britain (I'm not even entirely sure how it is in Switzerland ^-^'') but there should be addresses where you can report them. You're right, it's not legal.

If all else fails... the media? They love that kinda thing :X
