Random Lovecraftian questions....

If Cthulhu wakes up and in captured on CCTV, what happens? Does the camera explode? If not, what would happen if you viewed the film? Would you go mad? What if the film was really bad and you couldn't be sure what you were looking at?
And since Cthulhu is still asleep (if He isn't, I'm sure we've have heard of it by now), do people make sure He stays asleep? I mean, what with all the nuclear test over the pacific and so on, surely He's woken up and wondered what these bangs were? And if He's awake, surely He's powerful enough to raise an island? I mean, this is a Great Old One we're talking about here, and the geometry of the place of the place is so screwy that I'm sure He could convice it that rising is actually sinking. Maybe cultists just come over armed with hot milk and cookies and put him back to sleep.

Okay, that was just stupid.
And am I the only one who thinks the island in 'Lost' is actually R'lyeh? Yeah, thought so. But come on. It's an island which no-one knows about, there are weird things going on and weird constructions everywhere. Plus, it's apparently sinking again, which may bhe all for the best. Maybe the number sequence is neccessary because that's all that keeps Cthulhu from waking up?
Yeah, random. I've been at the Lovecraft again.
