skull_bearerMajor cuddles for my mother for getting me a lovely book on the Weimar Republic and it's culture. For someone rapidly becoming obsessed with the Holocaust, it's wonderfully tragic reading material. *big hug*
And extra hugs for my brother's girlfriend for the lovely paint set, I'm a big lover of watercolours and one can never have enough paints, even more for my stepdad for the gorgeous ink pen too.
I had less prezzies than anyone else, probably because I don't have a boyfriend to get me lots of stuff (the main downside of being asexual), still, can't complain, since I'm meeting my friends tomorrow and likely to get many things from them. It's freaky that I now have more friends than my brother. Freaky as in 'the angles of a square add up to 361 degrees' freaky. Against the rules of nature freaky. He has school friends, but whenever he goes out it's only ever with his girlfriend, whereas I always go out with my little group.
See? This is why I never bother to plan in advance. Because life has a habit of dealing me stuff that I could never have imagined in a million years. For example, two years ago, I could never have imagined that I would ever be working in an office, writing stuff that's barely toeing the fanfiction line and threatening to slip off into historical literature, having more friends than my brother, and ranting about this to a livejournal (assuming my 19 year old self even knew what a livejournal was, which, if you got me at the wrong date, I wouldn't).
Okay, I am not as think as you drunk I am, but I am rambling. Suffice it to say that two years ago I didn't really have friends at all, let alone more than my far-more gregarious brother. Remind me never to fall in love, I'm starting to get a taste for this whole 'socialising' thing.
