skull_bearerAnother crushing day at work, dealing with the bigotry of the people I work with. I've never been so glad for my ability to get on with people, my old group psychiatrists who worked their fingers to the bone with me should be proud. I didn't even shove the guy through the paper shredder when he went on he 'Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve' speil, although I sure as hell wanted to. Hell,l I wanted to shove that turban up his arse and make him eat it, the bastard!
The others aren't any better, Gods, they way they go on, they have such a knowlege of anal sex that I can't help but wonder if they're as disgusted by it as they appear, but no, better make it a disgusting act, never mind that vaginal sex is just as disgusting (hell, it's sex, it's sicky and unpleasent and there are a lot of weird smells and nasty liquids, it's the intent that justifies the act, not the mechanics), because we're not homophobes, oh no, we wouldn't beat them up for being the way they are (but if a boy/girlfriend admitted he/she swung both ways, we'd kick the shit out of them and laugh about it afterwards). And transexuals, oh isn't it disgusting how they parade around like that (when they walk up the street), if they came near me I'd run, it's so unnatural, they're all sick in the head.
And there's me, trying to assert some sense in their little pointy heads, sense I learnt from talking to people who are GLBT, rather than some drunk idiots at a bar. No, people do have a right to dress like that, no bloodplay is not the same as anal sex, no, you are not open minded, YOU ARE A BUNCH OF BRAINLESS BIGOTS! You think you have a leg to stand on? Hell, if anyone's sick it's us, ringing up poor old ladies and trying to sell them mobility aids they don't want! It sure as hell won't be people who happen to be in love or who happen to have been born in the wrong body!
It's so grinding, putting up with this. They wouldn't talk like this if they'd met the people I had, let's send them to the Way Out for an evening, and let them get to know the various trannies and transexuals that go there to have a great time and accept everyone who wants to share their club, let them come to the Pride parade with me and meet all the cool people there. Let them meet all these people who are, above all, people, with the same brains and souls as we have. And let them see, as I did, that we have absolutly NO FUCKING RIGHT to critisise them on the basis of who they love.

Seriously, if you asked 30 black people to vote between reinstating slavery and allowing gay rights, at least 10 people would vote to reinstate slavery and at least 15 people would abstain on the grounds that they don't want to be slaves, but don't want gays to have rights.
When I tried to point out the double standard in them thumping the bible in a gay thread and then going into TomKat/Brangelina threads singing the praises of their out of wedlock babies or going into a celeb thread and posting things like "Why doesn't (s)he just be honest and come out of the closet?", or committing adultery/fornication, needless to say, it wasn't pretty.

I mean, I'd think that since black people themselves have had problems being accepted they'd be more open-minded towards others in situations like that. Then again, it's been said that women and gays haven't exactly been battling their battles together either, to get more equal rights to straight males.
I just don't get why it is such a big fucking deal who someone loves or who they wish to be, as long as they are not hurting anyone. If it's two concenting people who are old enough for it, I don't give a fuck what they want to do together. Or, well, if they want to have more than people than that in their bed. It's their business and as long as they don't come ringing my doorbell to say that "Look! Look!" I can live my life and they theirs. Unless it's my friends, of course, they can come ring my doorbell, no matter what kind of relationship they're in. ;) And I usually prefer people who are true to themselves to those who pretend to be something they're not. I'm bisexual myself, although I don't go advertising it in RL - however, if someone asks, I'll tell them. I don't have an issue with that. If someone has an issue with it, it's their problem, not mine.
