I think I've worked out what's wrong...

I'm still on a university timetable. It's now late September and I'm starting to think 'hey, where have my courses gone?' They have, naturally, finished, and I'm just polishing up my application to do the Holocaust studies MA at Royal Holloway, which has been my cunning plan(tm) since about fuck knows when.
But because I froze like a fucking deer in headlights last year and didn't get my application off in time, I'm spending a year doing Not Much At All, and am going to have to find things to fill my time. I have a German course on the cards, but that doesn't start till October. I'm volunteering at the Jewish Museum (which is daft amounts of fun, actually, and should hopefully wipe off the worst of the bad habits I picked up from the nazi contingent in tiem for Royal Holloway), I'm back to working on AIoM at last, and then I've still got my translation actually-earning-work.
But there's still something that's really missing the University timetable. The getting up at the arse-crack of dawn to get to class and knuckle down to work. It helps that Middlesex, for all my bitching, was a lot of fun, and was a chance to show off the awesomeness that is me (concited? moi?). I daresay its going to be pretty different next year, if I get into Royal Holloway. As both my referencees told me they were giving me radioactively glowing references, there is a change for this (after having to deal with my Holocaust poetry/short stories/novel/abortive attempt at a play, when I told them I was trying to Royal Holloway they were probably like 'YES! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THIS TO BEGIN WITH?!")
So yeah, University. I miss you. Looks like my cunning plan (tm) to remain in University until I'm 35 if probably going to carried out, simply in order to shore up my sanity.
(ps, I rode a tank yesterday, and went to an awesome party. Not saying my life now isn't fun, but NEEDS MOAR UNI!)
