He thought she was cool and the unions had it coming, mind you, he did live through her time in office, and I didn't, so it's a bit hard to argue. :(

So did I- I was a graduate student when she kicked off and I'm from a collier family so I have, shall we say, somewhat different views of the ferrous one to your other half!

I guess it would depend very much on the region he lived in at the time... Her measures where ludicrously selective. New taxes? Let's just try them out in Scotland. Working class? We don't really need the North, anyway.
I agree that the unions had it coming. But it wasn't the unions who got it. It was the workers...

And you don't have to live through history to argue it. If we were only allowed to argue what we "lived through", we wouldn't be talking about a whole lot.

I didn't dance or anything when she died. She was an old woman and long past the (though lasting) harm she did. I do have some issues with the media coverage, though :/ And the funeral. That was just ridiculous.
