I got my results for my MA today. Pass with Merit. After all the hell I went through with this course, burning out and crashing and having full-blown anxiety meltdowns, I'm really pleased I actually managed to do pretty well. That ate several years off my life and I will never look on 2013 as being anything other than a hellish year, but- well, I did it. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with this degree, or who to ask. Any ideas would be welcome.

Morgane Guillemot, MA.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You have my greatest admiration! I dropped out in the middle of mine because I couldn't stand the stress and the panic attacks, so I know what an achievement you've made there!

What you should do with your degree is party -- and party hard! ;) (After that? Yeah, I got nothing. Try for a teaching position or something?)

I'm not sure if I should congratulate, or commiserate! But well done. ;-)

How does one go about lecturing? I mean, I would love to go be paid for talking about this subject, but how would I start going about it?

Start applying for lecturing jobs I guess- THES is a good place to look. Ask around at the uni. OU maybe? They're always on the lookout for part timers if you want to fit it round another job.

Congratulations!

I also got my MA results from my studies in London just last week; likewise passed with merit. And this was after an exceptionally rocky (and emotionally harrowing) undergraduate education (what there was of it). All of which is to say that while I don't claim to know the details of what you've been through for this degree, I can imagine what a huge accomplishment and a staggering relief this must be for you.

Again, heartiest congratulations.
