So, my company is mad. I knew this when I started. We wait for hours to be lectured, get given impossible tasks (although to be fair they don't get angry when we fail), contradictory instructions andjust all-out mayhem.

Today topped the lot.

For weeks now we've been waiting to start actually working on the computers, before it's been mostly lecture work, taking note, that sort of thing. We've been waiting to start on the computers for ages, but it kept being put off; the office wasn't ready, the computers we're hooked up, the network wasn't set out, etc. Finally we were given a definite date.

And when I arrived today, expecting to start work, I see most of the office standing around a parked van out on the street. The company has been kicked out of the office. The owner of the offices has apparently been very fed up with the company and when a fight broke out yesterday he threw them out.
It's not a massive deal, the company has offices in Paddington, but good grief, the timing! On the very day we were to start work! It was so crazy I started laughing. It was the maddest, most absurd thing I've ever seen, Sod's Law on steriods.

So now I have tomorrow off, waiting for them to start up the office ;) What's the bet we won't get started on Friday either?

Very random, I'm glad I don't have any responsibilities there.

What kind of company are you working for? *is not sure whether to apply for a job there as well or advise you to run for cover*

Sounds highly suspicious. Are they at least paying you well? (That would justify even the worst irregularities...) *ggg*

It's training, so they're not paying us yet, I don't think it's dodgy, just really badly organised.
