Skull Bearer: Come on people! We loved and fangirled this series for years, surely we can manage more than just apathy now the new title's being released.

Muses: *dispritedly* Why? It's not as thought it's meaning anything good, just more rubbish people will be hailing as the next Blood Meridian.

Skull Bearer: Well, there are some familiarities between the characters-

Muses: Accidental ones. we don't think JKR wanted to portray her protagonist as a homicidal maniac. Despite this he'll be hailed as the best thing since sliced bread, will have some revoltingly sweet and completely unconvincing romance with that Mary-Sue, and kill people without an ounce of remorse, thus wreaking the few good memories we have been able to rescue from the mess of HBP (Magneto/Xavier shippers: That was a train crash). Besides, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? The last time we heard a title like that was when the only thing you could think of calling your X-fic was 'Cursed to Remember'. And even you admitted that was crap.

Grammer Nazis: Hallow isn't even a noun!

Skull Bearer: *sighs*

Bunnies: We agree *have removed Anti-HP banners from the closet*

Skull Bearer: Shut up and give me ideas for Dragonlance.

Bunnies: If you start reading Dragonlance, we'll give you ideas, but since you've only been reading X-men, we're sticking to that.

Skull Bearer: So, about HP...

Bunnies: Not a chance.

Skull Bearer: But-

Bunnies: Unless it's to fuel the inevitable ranting that will ensue when you read that book.

Muses: We concur, the books have been going downhill since PoA, and if the trend continues *shows graph, HBP is off the bottom of the scale* the seventh book will be of a quality so vile as to be unreadable to man or beast.

Voldemort: *Still locked away* WHAT! Another book! Haven't they done enough damage to my character already? That's it, I'm never coming out.

Skull Bearer *double sigh*

Magneto: Cheer up, you have us to torture instead.

Skull Bearer *cheers up*

And that, Ladies and Gents, is why I am not excited about the release of the title for HP7

*snickers*
I can so see Raistlin and Dalamar huddled together in a dark corner...
D: "If we pretend we're not here, maybe she'll leave us alone?"
R: "I'm pessimistic."
SV: *waves open DL books in front of Skull Bearer and her assorted bunnies*
SB: "Maybe..."
R/D: "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!"

The title definitely sucks. *LOL!* I was like, "Wha?" Ah, well.

Well, OOTP was my favorite HP book so far. HBP wasn't great, I agree with that. I still have hope, even if it's futile.

Besides, I still love my Snapey-poo! And Draco-poo, and Lucius-poo . . . Fandom has made the characters so much better in my opinion, given them more depth. Especially the bad boys. ;^)

I will always hate the trio and most of the "good" guys. :^P

(And yet, next week after the holidays I'll be going to reserve Book 7 . . . )

*shudders* Lucius-poo??? You are aware that this is rather like the sound of fingernails raking down a blackboard, are you?

Would you prefer Luci-poo? *ROFLMAO!*

Fingernails down the blackboard sounds more like: "SSSSSSSSSSCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKK" actually. :^P

I was being facetious anyway. *LOL!*

I just don't want to waste my energy headdesking about that series any more. I loved it for ages, but after HBP it's not even worth hating any more.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? Oh, you've got to be kidding me, right? Wait, this is Rowling we're talking about, so it must be true.

*headesks* Frankly, I'd be rather happy if she did kill off Harry *is not holding out hope*.

Yes, it'd be nice, but it's still a kid's book we're talking about... Either it will be some trite self-sacrificing-for-the-common-good ending or a moral message like happy-ever-after-for-the-good-guys. But we'll see.

I don't care so much about what she does to Harry, but I hope she'll bring Sirius back, that's at least a realistic hope.

That has to be the /worst death/ I've ever seen written. Even including Raistlin's 'death' in the Abyss. Killed by drapery, honestly.

That's why I seriously doubt we saw the last of him. Curtains are there because there is something behind them. And if this something is an endlessly deep hole or a deathly, dangerous -well- /something/, why put up a curtain? Why not iron bars and twenty red warning signs plus a postcard stall for tourists? Even in wizards that should be common sense.

This being in the same world where their spells are based off latin but they don't bother learning the language at school? No chance.

My ideal ending:

Rocks fall. Everyone dies.

Avialle would be upset if they killed Snape, but for me I don't even /like/ anyone in the series any more.

So, it's the Deathly Hallows... hmm... *SPORFLE* I just can't wait for the wank to explode. I might be paying a visit to say, Mugglenet for some. <3

And I had the idea of Voldemort being locked away in a closet... Damnit. My "make retarded jokes" bunny is on a roll today.

*throws HP aside and clings to R/D*

That's what I've been doing for the last few months, although now I've got X-men it's become much easier. The wank is one of the reasons I left the fandom to start with. It's just pissed me off that people took the books- and themselves- so seriously. At least in X-men and Dragonlance everyone agrees the canons are erratic at best and total crack at worse. HP has to be one of the only fandoms with it's own gestapo.

You know, with each time I keep reading the new title, it's beginning to sound more and more like a band name to me. "The Deathly Hallows! With their opening act, Harry Potter! Live for one night only!"

But I totally head-desked when I read the title the first time. It sounds so incredibly cheesy and campy. But then again, after HBP, it seems like that is all we're going to get from JK Rowling Chosen One, whut?

*wonders where she hid her Dragonlance books* I need to reread something good now.

Ever tried X-men? They're really fun and when the authors churn out something crap, it's hailed for the shite it is.

Yes, the Chosen One. I headdesked myself into next week when I read that. What.The.Fuck. Star Wars much?
