LOL, that reminds me when my dad’s side of the family decided to trace their ancestry. We knew my great grandfather was Spanish, so they followed that family line down- down- down through Spain and then decided to stop pretty quickly when it looked like the lineage was going to jump the straits of Gibraltar. I mean, it was probably back around the Crusades at that point, but heaven forfend we weren’t 100% white.
