I've been neglecting this haven't I? Don't worry, I'm not dead, just rather busy.
Firstly, belated thank yous to [info]shadowvalkyrie  for a great time, you're welcome back anytime *fingers crossed that it won't be too long* It was wonderful, and I miss you :(

Secondly, a question to anyone reading this: New version of Enigma, good or bad? I haven't recieved any feedback and I would like to know. If it is worse, then I'll put back the old version.

So where have I been? Well, the good news is- writing. I have most of the next chapter written up, and I'm re-doing the last chapter of Ice and Steel (possibly my least favourite chapter in the entire series), and I'm being pelted with ideas from bunnies newly awoken from hibernation, to the point that I've taken to sleeping with my notebook next to my bed, in order to jot down ideas (most come at absurd times of the night). The bad news is, when I haven't been writing, I've been at the gym, which leaves me too knackered for anything save passing out. Spending two hours on various running, cycling, or rowing torture implements does that to one.

Hopefully *crosses fingers hard* I might be able to come down to Spain and visit Chetwynd next month, which is so totally yay! But finances have to be juggled seeing as I'm going to France this week with my mum, and Amsterdam in May with Joey and co. Not to mention a still-unplanned historical trip to Auschwitz somehwere in the near future (hey, after all I've written about it, it's been on my to-do list since October). Oh yes, and University. Reason number 171 for God not existing: If he did, they'd be more hours in the day, or we'd need to sleep less. Or maybe he does exist and hates me for not believing in him, so denies me the enjoyment of coffee. Such a being does not deserve worship.

Whatever, writing calls.

The new version of Enigma is very good. I like how you've added more conversation between Raistlin and Dalamar. It makes it seem more like we're discovering the characters through their own eyes, if that makes any sense. I love the extended sex scenes too. In your first version, it didn't seem like Raistlin was actively participating as much as he could have. I definately like your second version of chapters five and six better.

Awww! (->Insert description of warm fuzzy feeling.) *is happy* I hope it won't be too long, as well. If I'm still welcome to haunt your Amsterdam trip, even if it's just for a day or so, I think I can manage that. (A lot less painful to my finances than London, to be sure!) But really only if I'm not crashing the party. And more respect for personal spheres this time, I promise. *blush* ";-)

It's generally quite a lot of travelling you are planning! *wishes good luck, much fun and safe return* For the Poland journey, I'd advise taking a dictionary. I had a lot of trouble even with German and more people knew that than English.

Enigma: Better!!! (Sorry I'm late with feedback, but I don't even have internet at the Dogsitting Place of Doom. *sobs*) I don't know how you manged improvement without actual change, but you did. It's the same story, only more fluent in style (though it still does have one or two little typos, but who cares?) and without the abrupt, well, breaks there were before. (Hard to explain.) Especially the ending is better and makes infintely more sense like this. The last chapter explains all that was somehow missing before and the coming 'home' part was just perfect.
Enigma, now more than ever, is still my favourite Ebony & Ivory part: So sweet without being sugary, and dark at places without being over-angsty.
In the sex scenes (thanks for sending!), I especially like Dalamar's slight uneasiness. It makes the whole thing far more believable.
In short: So much love!!!

I'm really looking forward to the new Ice & Steel version, especially to the companions' reactions in the beginning. (Yes, I do take a deep and gloating enjoyment in reading embarrassing scenes.) Especially Tas should be funny to see, while the others will mostly be *headdesk*-inducing. I'm also interested in how the Kitiara scene will turn out.

Thank you for the feedback :D I know what you mean, and I really didn't like the original version because of it. It's much easier to write something when you know what's going to happen in the future.

Ice and Steel... the Kitiara scene is being a bit tricky, but the others should be fun. I'm particularly looking forward to writing Tanis'.

I thought Caramon would be the hardest to write. He's such a fanatic where Raistlin is concerned, it's hard to tell what he will do. On the other hand as least he's as honest as he's stupid, and therefore easier than let's say Kit, who doesn't necessarily say what she thinks.
I still look forward to Tas' scene most of all. I guess he's the only one who will get a different reaction than scorn and justified disregard out of Raistlin and Dalamar, because his whole view is totally different and he might actually surprise them.

Caramon is going to be hard, though it's a scene I got in a dream, so I've got a good idea how it goes. I particularly want to write Raistlin trying to explain his relationship with Dalamar to Caramon. It'll be fun. ;)
