Okay, I think we can agree on two things from the American mid-terms.

1) there are far more bastards out there than even we imagined, the losses of Beto O’Rouke and Andrew Gillum make that quite clear. There is a substantial part of the country who are vile, despicable monsters who need to be run over by Hillary Clinton driving a garbage truck.

2) The good people can still win. You guys took the House. You can beat these fuckers. That was the first step in turning this disaster around. You need to be committed for the long haul.

(I say you because I am an Anglo-French national living in Vietnam so am completely incapable of doing more than giving the odd donation)

To the brave people protesting Trump in the US:

People are going to compare you to the Tea Party and their protests of Obama. “You complained so much about the Tea Party” they’ll say “And here you are doing the same thing when your candidate didn’t win.”

Remember, we never cared that the Tea Parties protested. It was their right to protest, and if they didn’t like Obama that was absolutely fine.

What was the problem, and what was criticised, was that these lunatics threw out the n word like it was candy, had explicit racist caricatures of Obama and hung up lynch ropes like tinsel.

Remember that. This is why they were hated. This is why we despised them. Not for protesting. For being racist monsters.

People are going to try and forget that real fast so make sure you remember.
