gehayi's LJ that Bush has just passed a bill giving himself dictatorship powers in case of an unspecified 'state of emergency'. Is it really as bad as it sounds, or am I just channeling Magneto again and freaking out?

Date: 2007-05-22 11:17 pm (UTC)I don't know if it's as bad as it looks, but it's not in the news, and that's a bad sign. A bill was passed which /looked/ as though it was saying this, but I'm not good at reading goverment gobbledegook.
